Midlife Crisis Men Crack Me Up!
Bill McClellan of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch writes, "I woke up the other morning and realized it was too late to have a midlife crisis. I had flown past that milestone without giving it any thought. Perhaps there was still time to have a two-thirds life crisis. Certainly, a three-fourths or even a four-fifths life crisis.
But only the midlife crisis is officially recognized. That seems unfair. The latest statistics from the federal government show that a male in this country has a life expectancy of 74.4 years. That means a guy has to have his midlife crisis when he's 37. I'm sorry, but a 37-year-old man is not mature enough to have a midlife crisis. The very least we should require is a bad back, and for most guys, a bad back checks in at about 50."
