Sometimes Midlife Men Say It Better Than Can I
(Of course, that's why its called "male midlife crisis.")
"The experts have tried for years to quantify the essence of the so-called midlife crisis, or male menopause. It hits us when our bodies start to creak; when they don't bounce back like they used to. Or when our memory, sex drive or intensity fails us," writes Stan Jones for the Star-Telegraph, in an article entitled, Out of My Young Dreams and Into My Midlife Car. Stans article has a light title, but reading it made me sad.
He quotes Marjorie Dorfman who wrote "The mid-life crisis is a state of psychological siege that forces an intense re-evaluation and questioning." Sounds pretty serious, yet her site is chock full of funny insights about aging and what it all means.
I guess the choice is yours; you can either laugh or you can cry over the inevitable. For my money, I'd rather laugh.
