A lot has changed online since I launched this blog in 2005. Blogging was perceived as a narcissistic pursuit and today every college graduate blogs to gain a leg up in the job search. Smart move. In this era of interconnectedness, your reputation truly does precede you, so you better not do or say anything that might embarrass your grandma.
There are numerous blogs now for midlifers. I just discovered an NBC-affiliated network of sites, whose goal is to bring you the best information for the age group 45-65 with a focus on constant improvement. LifeGoesStrong is a clever name and they've hired a squadron of talented former journalists and one fiction writer of note, Jane Smiley.
Can I compete in an era of constant streaming content? I like to think I have a unique point of view, and I'll be expanding my sphere to include more thoughts on life and love because without love, what's the point?
